What is coaching?

If we did the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves – Thomas Edison

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential“.

Coaching is bridging the gap between where you currently are and supporting your thinking and action to get you to where you would like to be.

How will coaching benefit me?

Coaching helps you overcome obstacles, optimise performance, improve communication skills and increase productivity.
Your transformational and lasting change occurs through:

  • powerful questioning techniques,
  • the development of goals and action plans, and
  • expanded awareness on insights to overcoming barriers.

We coach in two parts:

  • Firstly we help managers confronting a challenge to organise their thoughts and develop insights that lead them to create their own plan to achieve goals.
  • Secondly we give managers the confidence and accountability to achieve their plans.

Simply put, Coaching is where you work with someone to connect with yourself – and what really matters. You redesign your environment, your career and/or your life and then your coach supports and challenges you as you take bold action to make it happen!
